Find Most Popular Birthday Cake with Different Flavors
Birthdays are an important and special occasion in each and every person's life whether they are turning 10 or 50....
Dem prices, tho!
Sorry, I had to get that off my chest. High-rise price tags & horrible grammar aside, the ambiance, menu, & service are all worthwhile investments if you have the wherewithal to splurge on a meal.
It's big enough to accommodate a sizable crowd, but for weekend brunch, I would recommend making a reservation, or risk sitting at the bar. They also have a small coffee bar, if you're just stopping in for a midday pick-me-up.
The menu is pretty panic-inducing if you love your indulgent brunch foods, & especially the sweet stuff. Challah Bread French Toast, Fig & Arugula Flatbread, Steakhouse Benedict, Lamb Burgers, wraps, & shareable plates. You won't be able to stick to your diet here.
To be perfectly honest, I was drawn here by the fact that they offer a coffee cocktail & I have made it my life's purpose to work my way through the few coffee cocktails LA has to offer, & I am very glad I found this place. Their Lunar Eclipse cocktail with cold brew, rum, frangelico, espresso cream, & chocolate dust is one of the more decadent, creamier versions I've had this side of the world, & doesn't have that strong kick all espresso martinis have.
Seeing as the first cocktail made me so happy, I asked my server to recommend another one & went for their Coco Cabana cocktail with cachaca, kalani coconut, pineapple cordial, lime, & coconut water which is definitely on the sweeter, more tropical side. I'm telling you, if you love your creamy cocktails, this is the place is for you. But you know, it's mildly-reminiscent of Gerber baby food, for some reason. In a good way! (Yes, I remember what that tastes like; I have impeccable taste buds).
I was also very pleased with their food menu. The Fig & Arugula Flatbread is one of the cheesiest flatbreads I've ever indulged in, & the perfect balance between fruity figs, creamy cheese, & tart red wine reduction is a match made is Mediterranean heaven.
Ignoring my sweet tooth, which demanded I get either the Beghrir Pancakes with black mission figs & honey butter, or the French Toast with cinnamon & seasonal berries, I opted for something with protein in it & went for their Momed Burger with a side of their famous Momo Chips.
The burger is made with grass-fed chuck & brisket, grilled Halloumi cheese (my favorite), Harisssa aioli, pickled red onions, & arugula on a brioche bun. Need I say more? Yes, it is very indulgent. The Momo Chips are simply round-cut potatoes fried up & served with herbs, sea salt, & garlic aioli; however, due to their freshness & perfectly-cooked texture, they are almost worth the $7.50 you pay for them.
Regardless of where you live, I believe Momed should definitely be on your list of places to try, if for no other reason than because you will rarely find food this good anywhere else. The love & attention is there with a side of unique inspiration in everything that they serve.
Oh, and one more thing: Not that you're the underage-drinking type, but just in case, they are very strict about carding at this establishment. Just an F.Y.I.
