Because who doesn't want to know what Moon Juice tastes like? Just the sound of it makes your inner child perk up and wonder at the possibilities. What I love about places like this is the sheer amount of love and attention-to-detail they put into everything that they make. Not only are they serving up some of the most decadent juice & coffee I've ever tasted next to Kreation Juicery, but they're packing them chock-full of exciting superfood ingredients like ashwagandha, chaga, Asian ginseng, & Maca root powder, and using organic add-ons to pack on the flavor, like stevia for sweetness & spirulina for that cool bluish color in some of their juices. And the girls are the absolute sweetest I've had the pleasure of talking to. They really know their stuff and are happy to give each customer the breakdowns of all their products.
Each ingredient plays an important role in your body, from cellular regeneration to mood balancing, muscle strengthening, & improved cognitive function, among others.
“But does it taste good?!” you ask. Hell to the yes, it does! I not only bought myself a cool blue Moon Juice called the 'Blue Moon Protein,' made with all sorts of goodness including blue spirulina extract, coconut, organic brown rice protein, & pink salt; I also tried their Brain Dust Iced Latte made with brain-boosting superfoods and coconut milk which really balanced out the flavor of the coffee. It was creamy, decadent, healthy… every coffee-lover's dream.
They also offer take-home goodies like Moon Dust powders with many different benefits and appropriate names, such as the 'Brain Dust,' 'Power Dust,' & 'Sex Dust.' I laughed at that last one, but it's apparently a great mood balancing mix and great for the reproductive system. I even saw chocolates and hair serums on the counter. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but ask yourself how much your health & taste buds are worth to you, and the decision should be an easy one.
Parking, however, is terrible, no matter which of the LA locations you go to; read the signs on the streets carefully. And, for Heaven's sake, don't forget to use that 20% Yelp check-in discount! I almost lost it when I realized I could have saved $8, easily. Don't make the same mistake!
