This will be one of the easiest recipes you will read, and it will give you the pleasure of knowing that you made the perfect homemade pancakes with little to no ingredients. They are light and fluffy and have the best percentage of sweetness.

I know i have used the word BEST EVER quite a lot so far, but these pancakes are the real deal! For a long time i have searched for a good and easy recipe for pancakes, and finally, i have perfected it. These pancakes are fluffy and thick, and they will make your eyes roll when you try them the first time.

The key ingredients are:

  • All-purpose flour 1/2 cup — You can find this in any decent store in your city.
  • Baking powder 1 — This bad boy is the key essence of any good pancake recipe, it makes the bubbles and ties up the pastry and makes it grow.
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon — You can use regular salt or sea salt, it all depends on your preference.
  • Whole milk 1/3 cup — You can use regular milk, or you can boil it. Also, you can use a bit of buttermilk.
  • Eggs 1 — Try to get the biggest egg out there since you will need only one.
  • Butter 3 tablespoons of melted butter — Don't but the natural/plant one, instead go with the regular, fat one.
  • Sugar 2 tablespoons — I prefer not to use sugar at all, but if you like an extra sweet taste, you can use it, just don't use too much.

OK, NOW LET'S START. We need to create the perfect heat for our pancakes. You should let your pan heat up while you make the batter. You can test the temperature by dropping a small amount of water on it if it disappears quickly and creates a bunch of bubbles it is ready. You can use 325 degrees or just put the stove on the middle number, 3/5, 3/6 don't make it too hot it will burn the pancakes. You can now use the nonstick spray to keep your pancakes from sticking, or you can use a bit of butter.

...But the secret ingredient is grease, yes, grease. Just use a bit of it on a piece of cloth and cover the surface of the pan with it in round motion.

You should use around 1/4 cup to pour your batter and place it in the middle of the pan. This has proven to be the perfect measure since you can work around it with a spoon and quickly flip it. The critical factor here is not to rush, and you should let them bake until the bubbles on top of it start to pop on the front side.

Flipping a pancake is mastery for itself. You need to use a spatula and go in circles to make sure every side is baked correctly, and it is not stuck to the surface. Shove the spatula underneath and turn them over. Be sure only to use your wrist for flipping, since the whole arm motion can make your pancake flip out of the spatula and we don't want that right?

Leave the other side for the same amount of time to bake and always try to go in round circles with your spatula, as soon as it can quickly go of the pan, leave it for 13 more seconds and remove it from the pan. Repeat the steps for the other pancakes and don't forget to spread the grease on the pan after every pancake is finished.

You can use any flavor you like to add to the pancakes and any topping, but the ice cream ball and a bit of maple syrup is the best option as always, or just melt a bit of chocolate and ENJOY.

Bon Appétit.
