First off, what an idea to create a little coffee oasis hidden away only a stone's throw from one of LA's busiest districts. Kudos for that! I can't remember the last time I actually wanted to chill in the same spot I bought my coffee from; but hidden away from the street, tucked in-between the surrounding buildings, and being able to sit on one of the many benches/ table/ emerald-green grass areas, I couldn't resist having a little zen moment to myself as I sipped on this decadent java. In order to find it, all you have to do is drive to the address and walk through what looks to be a little hallway going into one of the buildings. Just look for the 'Tilt' sign and go on through.
The coffee here is the same as the shop itself: Minimalist, yet creative. So much so, that if you're a regular coffee drinker and are used to the good stuff, you will desire nothing more. The menu offers all the typical coffee shop drinks with only 2 signatures- the Cloud Mocha and the Cloud Iced Latte. Both are perfectly-sweetened without being overpowering, and offer an extra level of decadence from that thick cold cream they make in house with condensed milk. The coffee itself is rich and worthy of being drank on its own without needing sugar.
If you're more of a tea drinker, fret not! They have a modest tea list with Chinese names that are hard to pronounce, so you know they must be good. Pastries are few and far between, but with all the eateries and bakeries nearby, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle to find something sweet to go with your coffee.
Downside? Parking. On any given day, you will probably end up paying more for that than you will for your coffee. So much for chilling out on the grass.
